Eddie Montgomery announces plans
for restaurant, commercial development in Harrodsburg

Harrodsburg, Ky., March 1, 2008- Singer Eddie Montgomery, of country duo Montgomery Gentry, officially announced plans March 1 for a restaurant and commercial development in Harrodsburg, KY.

Eddie Montgomery’s Steakhouse will be the first addition to Skylar’s Landing, a new development located on approximately 40 acres of land along the 127 bypass.  Over 9,000 sq. ft. in size, the log-structured restaurant will feature a premium dining experience and musical talent from around the country. 

“This has always been a dream of mine,” said an emotional Montgomery, “I want to do something for the area I grew up in, something we can all be proud of.”

Montgomery has partnered with local entrepreneur Tommy Mitchell, owner of Rocky Top Log Furniture & Railing in Bryantsville, to oversee the project. 

“We’re very excited,” said Mitchell, “we hope to attract a lot of business to Harrodsburg and the surrounding counties, and have already received interest from some well-known national chains.”
